Maureen makes her home and studio in Connecticut. Her images are a blending of elements, nature, mystery and faith.
Maureen has studied music and theater as well as traditional forms of painting . but but it was not until 2005 that Maureen had adopted the combination of materials that would develop into current her signature style. Her love of mythological deities, expressive subjects and storytelling stem from her theatrical past while other images evolve from her own self exploration.
Maureen’s images have been published both in the United States and abroad and are in both corporate and private collections.
Artist Statement
“I believe that life is multi-dimensional. It is made up of multiple layers. Some are obvious to the naked eye and some seem non-existent. I strive to accomplish the same with my artwork. Sometimes you can see it in the painting process other times it is the subject matter. The effect varies from viewer to viewer.”
